Your Role:

The site manager is authorized, but not limited to:
– To make decisions and issue directives within the site organisation within the scope of relevant rules and with the support of the project manager
– To lead the site team with regards to what, when, where, how
– To obtain and receive all information related to the project site activities
– For expenses at site in line with the allocated budget in agreement with PM

Main responsibilities:
– Close cooperation with the Project Manager in planning and preparation of the site
– Organisation of the subcontractors e.g. BOP works supervision, QA documentation check, weekly follow-up meetings
– Overseeing and controlling civil and electrical BOP works in anticipation of turbine delivery
– Organisation of the subcontractors according to erection strategy
– Close cooperation with the Project Manager in execution of the site
– Make decisions regarding site activities and priorities on a daily basis
– First contact for all parties being active on site such as subcontractors, suppliers and any other personnel on site by building up a strong relationship with the aforementioned parties
– Define time schedules for the management of the site and monitor and safeguard required level of quality throughout erection, finishing and commissioning works
– Coordinate work tasks for individual parties on site
– Oversee and control civil, mechanical and electrical site works in anticipation with turbine delivery and in accordance with given time frame
– Lead the arrival at site, erection and commissioning of the wind turbines in order to assure the hand over to the customer service team on-time and in good quality
– Cooperate closely and communicate periodically with the correspondent Logistic Manager and/or the logistic company involved in the delivery of goods.
– Monitor the delivery of goods on a daily basis
– The SM should organize the Toolbox Talk on a daily basis to keep all leaders coordinated, updated and informed about daily tasks and HSE issues, as well as monitor the related documentation.
– In case the SM is not present on site at the moment of the Commissioning, he should still be directly reported and informed.
– Instruct, control and manage personnel at site, subcontractors and all suppliers at the site including erection and transportation companies
– Control costs and provide the Project Manager with all necessary reports and feedback regarding progress of works, support for claims for extension of time and/or costs to our customers and suppliers, installed equipment, HSE and quality issues at site
– Support the Project Manager and Commercial Project Manager in contract and claim management towards clients and suppliers
– The SM should organize the Toolbox Talk on a daily basis to keep all leaders coordinated, updated and informed about daily tasks and HSE issues, as well as monitor the related documentation.

Requirements & Experience

We would like to hear from you if you meet the following requirements:
• Degree in electrical or civil engineering (University) preferably with an additional qualification in the field of project management
• Minimum 5 years work experience in project management
• Minimum of 3 years experiences working in in Renewables (Wind)
• Advanced PM Knowledge in Energy sector
• Comprehensive knowledge of MS-Office to include MS Project, AutoCAD
• Aim-oriented, proactive and communicative personality with entrepreneurial thinking
• Excellent command of English and Dutch. Additional foreign languages would be an asset
• Consistency and responsibility in achieving the goals
• Skills in planning, analysing and drawing conclusions
• Very good communication skills including excellent report writing skill
