Job Description

We are looking for an Engineer to strengthen our technical advisory team in the area of energy
storage systems (BESS). In this role, you will be responsible for the technical assessment of
BESS projects on behalf of investors, developers, and financing institutions.

Location: Remote/hybrid cooperation (Poland preferred)
Type of cooperation: B2B or contract of mandate
Scope of cooperation: Approximately 20 hours of cooperation per month, with a realistic prospect of expanding the cooperation to a broader scope of hours

Job Role

Scope of Responsibilities

  • Technical analysis and advisory: Conducting comprehensive technical reviews of
BESS, photovoltaic, wind, and hybrid projects to identify key technical and commercial
    risks.
  • System architecture and performance analysis: Assessing BESS design
assumptions, performance parameters (efficiency, degradation, availability), single
line and three-line diagrams, and the integration of BMS, EMS, and SCADA systems.
  • Grid connection assessment: Interpreting grid connection conditions, agreements,
connection studies and grid connection expertise, procedures, and technical
requirements applicable under the Polish TSO and DSO frameworks.
  • Client advisory and reporting: Translating complex technical findings into clear,
practical due diligence reports and advisory materials for clients.

Requirements & Experience

What We’re Looking For

  • A degree in electrical engineering, power engineering, or a related field.
  • At least 3 years of experience in power engineering, grid connection of generation
sources, or renewable energy, including hands-on experience working on BESS
    projects.
  • Practical knowledge of energy storage system architecture: cell chemistry and
characteristics, PCS configurations, BMS/EMS/SCADA integration, operational
constraints — supported by experience working with project documentation.
  • Knowledge of the Polish power system, grid connection procedures (TSO/DSO),
    IRiESP/IRiESD, and grid code requirements.
  • Ability to critically evaluate technical data, including verifying the technical
assumptions underlying project financial models, identifying and precisely describing
risks, and clearly presenting conclusions to clients.
  • Language skills: English at a minimum B2 level for daily cooperation within an
international environment, and Polish at a professional level for direct work with Polish
    grid connection documentation and regulations.

Nice to Have

  • Experience in technical due diligence, engineering, or advisory work, as well as
cooperation with institutions financing renewable energy projects.

What We Offer

  • Flexibility: approximately 20 hours per month, with a realistic prospect of increasing
engagement as the cooperation develops. This model allows this role to be combined
with your own practice or other projects. Fully remote or hybrid work, with
considerable flexibility in organising your working time.
  • International projects: direct involvement in the assessment of energy storage and
PV+BESS hybrid projects in Poland and Europe, carried out on behalf of investors and
    financing institutions.
  • International environment: Collaboration with an experienced, international team of
    renewable energy specialists.
